AMAZONAS, O JOGO DA BOLA

A história do Futebol no Amazonas e seu pioneirismo, desde o primeiro registro no Brasil de um jogo de bola, no século XIII. Numa cronologia do tempo passando por Manaus, no fim do século XIX – a primeira cidade no país a receber o jogo de football de regra inglesa – chegando, por fim, no momento contemporâneo com a construção do Estádio Arena da Amazônia, palco de jogos da Copa do Mundo 2014.

The story of football at the pioneer state of Amazonas, since the first record in Brazil of a ball game in the thirteenth century. A chronology of time going through Manaus, in the late nineteenth century – the first city in the country to receive the English rule of Football game – arriving finally in the contemporary moment with the construction of the Arena da Amazônia stadium, which served as the 2014 FIFA World Cup game stage.
